Frequently Asked Questions About Teen Online Class
How many hours can my teen study per day?
Under Ohio administrative code, students are permitted a maximum of 4 hours of online instruction per calendar day. The system will automatically log the student out once 4 hours are reached and unlock the next day. This ensures students do not rush and actually absorb the material.
Can I take the online class on a phone or iPad?
Yes! Our online platform is 100% responsive and works across Apple iPhones, iPads, Android smartphones, Chromebooks, MacBooks, and Windows laptops with high-speed internet.
Do I have to complete all 24 online hours before starting driving lessons?
Once your student has their valid Ohio Temporary Permit (TIPIC) and has made active progress in the online course, you can begin scheduling their 8 hours of behind-the-wheel instruction with Canal Driving School. Both must be completed before the final Ohio certificate is released.
